Jake Mataya - Flat Track

The first Minnesotan in quite a while to follow the Grand National circuit, Jake has qualified for many mains riding for the Delano Sports Center race team.
2007 Before hitting the nationals, Jake was part of the fledging
Supermoto sport, winning 450A at a local race.
2008 Mataya raced in AMA Grand National Twins Championship, with one Top10 finish at Topeka, KS (Oct. 4), and five main event finishes in all.
Raced in the AMA Grand National Singles Championship with a 14th place finish at Billings, Montana. Raced in the AMA National Hot Shoe Series, making a podium finish
at Barberville, Florida. Raced with Delano Sports Center race team.
2009 Mataya raced in the AMA Pro Grand National Championship both Singles and Twins, earned six main event finishes and had a best finish eighth-place at Bulls Gap.
Raced in the AMA Pro National Hot Shoe Series earning three Top10 finishes. Raced with Delano Sports Center race team.
2010 Mataya raced in select AMA Pro GNC events. Raced with Delano Sports Center race team.
2011 Mataya raced in select GNC Twins events. Out of three starts, Mataya earned a best position of 14th-place at the Hartford Motor Speedway.
2012 Made just three main event starts on his Harley-Davidson. Best finish of the year came at Illinois State Fairgrounds where he placed 12th.
2013 – 2016 Flat track news can be difficult to find. It is unknown what Jake was doing these years.
2017 – When the X-Games came to Minneapolis, Jake was seen riding the short track event that was part of it. He was still on a Kawasaki. He did not end up
making the main, but he had good company, as none of the three Harley-Davidson team members qualified either.
