Jimmy Benolkin - Motocross
Updated June 2020
Brother of fellow MN Hall of Fame member, Tom Benolkin, Jimmy is probably most well known for
something he did as an amateur. Shortly before the nationals moved permanently to Loretta Lynn’s,
the national race was held at Millville (then called Zumbro). Jimmy became the only rider to sweep
all 4 motos of the premier 250 Expert class.
He did not enter very many pro races, but earned his way into the Hall with a 19th place in the 250 class at Lake Whitney on April 18, 1982.
